So, if there is one thing that is going to become extremely evident on this blog, it’s that I LOVE a good botanical print. Clean botanical florals, palm prints, or D&G inspired citrus patterns – I am into it. They speak to me – fresh and fun, I want to wear them all spring and summer long.
This dress is ME. I adore this leafy print and the shape is so flattering if you’re a lady with curves, which is even better as this is part of Fashion Nova’s curve range which goes up to a size UK 28-30. This honestly makes my heart happy.
As I shop between a UK size 10, 12 and 14 (depending on the item, fit and shop) I often feel bad when I recommend an item of clothing or lingerie when I know that the brand (although sells a great product) does not cater to all women in my audience.
When browsing the curve selection of Fashion Nova I was extremely impressed. Not only because their styles are affordable and on trend but they also don’t fall into producing the shapes, styles and silhouettes that they THINK plus size women should wear, like I see with a lot of other curve and plus ranges. There is an abundance of items in this collection, and I love that with a lot of these items you can shop the pieces and be a UK 8 or a UK 30 and still wear the same outfit and look amazing. FINALLY! Why can’t every shop do this?
However, this particular playsuit/dress style is worth sizing up in. I ordered a size L which is meant to be a UK 14-16, I was a little bit worried that this would be too big around my waist however when it arrived it was TINY. Especially in comparison to the other items I ordered from Fashion Nova which were a size M (UK 10-12) and fit me perfectly. Lucky due to the style of this I could make some quick and easy adjustments to the shorts and make things fit without ruining the dress, however I should have read the reviews and sized up AT LEAST one size. Look at it thoughhhhhhhh, with a red lip and a lot of bronzer it’s pure fire and will be perfect on holiday.
